wonderful performance here. nice vocals and lyrics. perfect arrangement. i don't know how this was recorded but it's very nice, especially the drums. all the instruments are clear and the dynamics are well done. very original track from a very orginal band....

The lead vocals are too dry. I suggest either overdubbing a second track or using a slap back 'verb to give it depth.
Other than that, nice production!

Nice track. Good songwriting. I don't think the vox are too dry. You're just using the wrong mic. Consider a cheap condensor and a cheap tube preamp for recording. Even the cheap Chinese Large Diaphragm condensors can sound really nice with some tweaking. (I know I'll get some flack for that.) There are some points in the chorus which the lead vox are just slightly out of tune but a good mic in combination with decent headphones would fix that quick. The performance over all had a good feel. Remember to take my comments with a good dose of salt. It's just my opinion.

I like the dry vocals. Don't change a thing!
This is an awsome tune! Great melody, arrangement, recording, mix, performance, everything!
In less than 2 years, you 'whipper-snapper' young upstarts have grown into one of the best bands currently at Dmusic! KUDOS!

I love the intro. The songs flows really nicely and there's a lot of feeling in the vocals. I like the backing vocal work too.
I think the guitars are bang on!!
Will be checking your other stuff out.

i think there's something hitting one of the drum mics, an odd clicking in the intro in spots. i think the vocals could be better brought into the mix with some treatment.
very nice song, really dug the clean guitar tone. drummer has a sweet snare tone as well.

Yes I agree with Van, the clean guitars are very punctual and it would be nice to bring up the lead vocals and add some reverb/FX to the vox.
Great song, good dynamics and performance!

I think the vocals could be fine the way are, a little 'verb would add some depth - maybe a different mike - but those things are all subjective.
My issue is with pitch. There are some major pitch issues and in some spots pretty severe.
It sounds to me that you are singing from your throat which sounds odd because that is were the sound originates. However it is your diaphragm that controls the air flow and supports pitch. This is a common problem and can be address with vocal exercises. Long sustained notes enunciating the vowels a,e,i,o & u, up and down major scales. This is also a great warm-up exercise especially prior to recording and any public performance. Not only will this help in proper breathe support - keeping notes on pitch - but will help increase range and ear training.
I think the tune is a nice little pop tune. I ear some missed beats - gtrs are nice I like the tones and playing ability - I would redo the solo.
Personally I would continue to tweak it before shopping it to labels. Unless you wanted to shop and license the tune to other artist - but I would rework it until I was sick of it - just to make it sparkle. Meaning, I think the tune and the group has marketability. Just my

I would have to agree with GeneHilbert about the vocals. I think it reminds me of how I sang when I was 12, which is not bad but it means, Brenna, you're at a certain level but you'll have to move on. I don't mean to sound mean.
It is time to get some breathing techniqes and maybe the odd singing lesson. You've got the basic ideas but it would be good to broaden your vocals range and sound, also for it to stay interesting enough for any listener.
I think your rocking drumming skills are needed on this. And Brians wicked vocals in reverse are needed here as well.
Besides all the above: The tune is very pretty. Nice melody line.

Brenna...all of us here are always striving to be better...that's the sign of a good musician. So use the contructive criticism here to make yourself into something fantastic...and ignore the "bitchy" remarks - you can rise above all that
About the song...I thought it had a great emotional flow to it...real food for the soul. It's easy to perfect technical stuff...but not so easy to achieve what you guys have achieved here...a great song, something the audience can "feel" and an indefinable magic. Be yourselves...don't lose your identity - you have something special happening here

This is a nice jamming tune, I dig the intro & the arrangement. A nice original tune that sounds "technically" just fine, my experience is that there are listeners and dissectors out there. I am a listener, and a happy one regarding this tune. It is also a decent piece of songwriting with lots of fun riffs and of course I admire real drums whenever I hear 'em cuz mine are all fake. Hey I like the outtro too.

A great track.
definitly feeling this intro... superb tone on the guitars... and top quality drumming..
Vocal wise.. i think you have a nice voice and i like the harmonies..they work well. But in places you do tend to fall slightly off pitch which throws me off a little..but you correct yourself well. Also I agree with previous comments on the dryness thing, but im not sure reverb would help much with that.. maybe a different mic could give a nicer tone.. not sure..
nevertheless.. this is a great track.. you guys are very talented.

Good songwriting! Lyrics are good, music is good. I like the emotion in the singing. I think some reverb would do good for you, although I don't mind your vocals here at all. A little pitchy, but it's good. Reminds me of Avril. Nice job!

Very nice lyrics, and the song contains lots of emotion. Brenna, you've got a beautiful voice and Brian does a good job on the backin' vocals At your age, you guys are some asskickin' band, I'd say, keep up what ur doin' and use the critics to evoluate

groovy movements from part to part, the lead guitar is very well though out, it has a great way of sucking the extra air out of the song.
The drums are pretty creative, I liked the jittery break at the intro.
the vocals get a little pitchy and sinusy in the really high range. I'm not sure what your natural range is, but maybe lighten up a little on the higher notes and the tone will come from a little lower in yuor head, that's definetely a big detail though, the vocals are very emotional and effective.
you guys are killer

I’ll bet you garner a lot of comparisons to The Cranberries, right? That’s definitely not a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination. Like my favorite of their tunes, this has a particularly listenable brand of vitriol to it, an almost Popanthemic gal-done-wrong aesthetic.

I thought I commented on this before...but I think your voice is perfect for this song, sad and solitary and a little angry. I love the lyrics, too. You could possibly make it more "marketable," but I think you would lose a lot of the charm. Just my two cents worth.

Yes I like this alot I dont think you have a projection problem with your vocal delivery..I think if there is a problem at all its in the lack of effects on those vocals but i'm nit-picking...This is very good, love the vocal harmonies
